Corie Dempsey Swan

I grew up in Rome, Georgia where I attended Darlington School. A love for creating art was certainly nurtured and cultivated at Darlington. After graduating from Darlington in 1996, I was off to the University of Georgia in Athens where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Furnishings and Interiors. Upon graduation, I spent a summer in Cortona, Italy where I studied Interior Design as well as Art. I moved to Atlanta after my trip to Italy and began working as a Design assistant for Bettye Fincher Interiors. I also worked for Dan Carithers Design Consultant and Tillman Long Interiors while in Atlanta. I was then able to go out on my own as an Interior Designer in 2006 when I began receiving phone calls for projects.

I met my husband, Andrew in 2008 and a life in Macon, Georgia began in 2009. I worked with Gwen Wilson at Gwen Wilson Interiors for several years in Macon before becoming a Mother. Andrew and I have been blessed by God with 4 children: Taylor (20), Patterson (10, Twin girls Vivi and Corinne (7).

With my Design background, I feel as if I can create and visualize the perfect piece of art for a space after assessing the fabrics, furnishings and overall vibe in that room. Although I love Interior Design, I always said "I want to be an Artist when I grow up." I think I've finally "grown up!" I feel as if my path in Design has led to my career as an Artist.

In Spring of 2016, I was chosen for the Emerging Artists show at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon. I have been painting ever since! I am incredibly grateful for my customers. Each painting I create is truly like a piece of my heart.

Thank you for taking time to check out my work!
